Midway is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Midway is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Early tee times are double booked on weekends because they send groups off 1 and 10 simultaneously. Waited 45 minutes at the turn. Nice course but a 3 hour back nine isnβt worth it.

It's a beautiful course that's very well maintained. It's challenging, especially the greens on the front 9 (lots of slope to them). There are multiple holes that have blind shots over a hill, so that makes it challenging on a first visit. Typical to the Pittsburgh area, there are lots of hills and sloped fairways, and the ball kicks and rolls across them easily. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you aren't a really good golfer, do yourself a favor and play the gold tees (no, you don't have to be a senior). The whites are 6,500 yards so you need some power and accuracy to play those. Definitely looking forward to my next round!

Open course and tough greens. Close to PIT and pretty reasonably priced. It was over a 5 hour round with upwards of 4 groups on 1 hole/tee box at times, but is understandable with the price and being a public course on a weekend. Would pay $10-20 extra to have the tee times spread out on weekends and also wouldβve grabbed lunch afterwards but the pub is closed on Sunday?

Quicksilver is in my top five in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The golf shop staff are incredibly helpful, efficient, and kind. The golf course has a great driving range, sweet chipping area, and a nice putting green if you want to get warmed up before your match. And trust me you want to get warmed up. This course is long and very challenging. The greens are lightning fast, and the hills make for a very complicated round. Number nine has owned me every time I played here yeah I'm still determined to get the better of it. The starter is the great guy to very competent and good at what he does so the pace of play is quick which makes it even more enjoyable. Quicksilver, lindenwood, Old Stone Wall, Cranberry Highlands are my top four public courses in the area.

If looking for a challenging round at a fair price, Quicksilver is a fit for you. There are plenty of opportunities to score or post a big number if not on your game. The course itself on July 2nd, 2025 was in very good shape considering all the rain the past few weeks. There were a few wet spots in low areas. The greens were a bit soft, but it made holding approach shots easier, and you need all the help you can get with the undulation on them. The greens rolled very well. Service in the pro shop, by the starter, and in the pub were all good. However, one worker decided to drive right past our group on a large tractor mower as we were teeing off on 15 and never stopped the entire time. One complaint/suggestion I have is to have a tee option of about 6,000 yards. Going from 6540 for the white tees all the way down to under 5500 yards for the senior tees is way too much of a gap. As some one in their mid 50βs Iβm not ready to play the senior tees, but also not excited about 555-580 yard par 5βs or needing a hybrid to reach some of the longer par 4βs more than 2-3 times in a round. Building new tee boxes can be expensive. Just update your score card and do a couple of combo te
